I like using \"exit tickets\" in teaching where at the end of the day students answer a question discussed in the lesson that day. This is a meaningful evaluation of learning helping me to provide feedback if the student is still not understanding the content of the lesson. As a tutor, a personal relationship is foundational to student success -- the more connected a student feels to his or her tutor, the more the tutor creates trust and respect which are essential to a student's learning.
