I'm Lisa and I believe learning should be fun and student centered. I tailor lessons to the age\/grade of the student. With younger kids, I include a lot of movement and games. When working with high school students, I allow them to drive the session while still meeting our goals. I recongize that learning can be hard at times, so I provide praise and encouragement along the way. It's important for students to know what we will do throughout the session, so they aren't just watching the clock. I use checklists to help us stay on track. \nWhen I'm not teaching, I can be found at home playing with my three dogs. Or outside running or hiking. I enjoy travel and try to make it a regular part of my life.
