The goal with any tutoring session is always that the student feel good about the work we have done together. I aim to help with the lesson, but how the child is feeling is also important. I believe all students can learn and no one student is without hope. I work hard to create a safe space, where I am able to focus on the whole person not just the academics. I am a mom of 5 adult kids and I have 5 grandkids as well. I spent some years learning ASL and thought for a time that I was going to work as an interpreter for the deaf\/hard of hearing community . I love kids and I truly enjoy being an educator. I recently retired, but I am not sure I am totally ready to let go of this part of me entirely.
